What is Mental Health Coaching?

Mental health coaching is a holistic, integrative approach to mental wellbeing that focuses on the individual as a whole. Mental health coaches work with clients to identify areas of their life that may be causing them stress or anxiety and help them develop coping mechanisms and resilience.

Mental health coaching is not therapy or counselling but rather a supportive process that helps clients develop their own solutions to the challenges they are facing. Mental health coaches work with clients to set goals and create action plans that will help them to achieve their desired outcomes.

What Mental Health Issues Can Mental Health Coaching Help With?

There are several disorders for which mental health coaching can deliver tangible results. While our founder’s experience and subsequent coaching program were devised with PTSD in mind, the course is just as effective for other similar disorders such as General Anxiety Disorder and depression.

The aim of mental health coaching is to help individuals develop mental resilience, engrain positive thinking habits, and gain a deeper understanding of what they want out of life.

While there are set parameters and modules with the Mental Health & Wellbeing Life Coaching Course offered by Sole Survivor, the materials, exercises, and overall direction the coaching takes are still very much tailored to the individual and their specific needs.
