Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder affects people from all walks of life. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a military veteran or a survivor of childhood abuse – PTSD has the potential to affect anyone who has experienced trauma.
While the symptoms of PTSD can be distressing and debilitating, there are resources available in Cheshire that can help you manage your symptoms.
At Sole Survivor, we offer judgement-free PTSD support for those living with PTSD and their loved ones. Our team of PTSD specialists are committed to helping you manage your symptoms, connect with others who understand what you’re going through, and listen without judgement as you work through your PTSD.

Why Get Support for Your PTSD Symptoms?
We believe no one should have to face PTSD alone. With symptoms ranging from anxiety and depression to anger and isolation, PTSD can make it difficult for you to feel like yourself again. Getting PTSD support from a knowledgeable and caring team can help you reclaim your life.
We understand there’s no specific path to PTSD recovery, and our PTSD specialists are merely here to offer guidance and support as you find what works best for you. PTSD support meetings provide a space for you to share your experiences with others who understand what you’re going through, while active listening sessions can help you process your trauma in a safe and judgement-free environment.
No matter the severity of your PTSD symptoms, we’re here to offer as little or as much PTSD support as you need.
Where Can I Receive PTSD Support in Cheshire?
At Sole Survivor, we run several PTSD group support meetings in the Wirral area. We host our meetings in the Wirral MIND building, located on Chester Street in Birkenhead, at the following times:
- Wednesday – PTSD Online UK-wide 2.00 – 3.00 p.m.
- Thursday Morning – PTSD Peer Support 11.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.
- Thursday Evening – PTSD Peer Support 6.00 – 7.30 p.m.
The MIND building is close to several bus routes and just a five-minute walk from Hamilton Square Station, making public transport an excellent transportation option from whenever you happen to be based in Cheshire. As you’ll have noticed, our Wednesday meeting is online via Zoom, which might suit you if you are unable to travel for an in-person meeting.
Lastly, we have a number of support services that can be accessed remotely, such as our active listening service.

What Do I Need to Receive PTSD Support? Do I Need an Official Diagnosis?
Firstly, no, we do not require you to have been officially diagnosed with this condition to receive support from one (or several) of our numerous PTSD support services.
However, we do require all of our clients to have completed our online referral form, which a member of our team will process. We will then contact you to discuss the best way forward regarding support for your PTSD symptoms.
It’s also worth mentioning that we also offer a range of self-help guides and advice for those struggling with PTSD, stress, and anxiety. They include several options, such as breathing and relaxation exercises to help you manage your symptoms on your own terms.
